



The Passion Play is performed every 10 years in the city of Oberammergau, Germany. The Oberammergau Passion Play is a play performed by the inhabitants of the village of Oberammergau in Bavaria Germany rooting back to 1634. The town vowed that if God were to spare them from the effects of the bubonic plague ravaging the region, they would perform a play every ten years depicting the life and death of Jesus. The play involves over 2,000 performers, musician, and stage technicians all residents of the village. The drama compromises spoken dramatic text, musical and choral accompaniment. More information
